Abromo’s team may not have picked Shinji Kagawa, who’s three goals against Norwich helped him to rack up a massive 30 points but there were plenty of eye catching performances from the players he did pick.
The defensive portion of his team came exclusively from the Premier League’s current top four teams. Petr Cech (12) and Branislav Ivanovic (9) profited from Chelsea’s 1-0 win at home to West Brom while Matija Nastasic and Pablo Zabaleta’s contribution to Manchester City’s win on Monday night was vital in a closely fought gameweek where just five points separated the top 10 players.
Gareth Bale and Marouanne Fellaini both contributed double figure scores to the overall points total while Santi Cazorla and Steven Gerrard were solid enough in midfield, picking up five points each.
It was up front where the battle was won though, Luiz Suarez earned a massive 27 points for his hatrick against Wigan in Saturday’s late game and although Robin van Persie didn’t score, his assist meant he earned seven points.
If you didn’t enter last week then don’t worry. Totel Football will take your best 6 scores from the remaining 10 gameweeks to calculate the final overall leaderboard so there are plenty of chances to stake your claim for an iPad 3 while the four runners up will win a Premier League shirt of their choice.
