The Chelsea defender says he has no issues with the unsettled Liverpool striker and would have no problem playing alongside him if the Blues move for the Uruguayan
Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic insists he has no problems with Luis Suarez and says he would not have an issue if the club signed the unsettled Liverpool striker.
The Uruguayan is currently serving a 10-match following an incident towards the end of last season in April when he bit the arm of Ivanovic.
Suarez, 26, is not thought to be Chelsea’s top target, but the wantaway Liverpool striker could emerge as a candidate should Manchester United not change their stance on Wayne Rooney.
“About Luis Suarez, I said straight after the game [in April], whatever happened on the field finished there,” the 29-year-old Serbia international told reporters at a pre-match press conference in Bangkok.
“He’s one of the best strikers in the Premier League. I don’t have any problem with him or doubt about that.”
