Stewart Downing is undergoing a medical at West Ham as he closes in on a move from Liverpool, Goal understands.
The winger will complete a move to the London club by Tuesday if he passes the medical tests.
West Ham have agreed a fee of around €6 million with the Reds for the England international, who turned 29 in July.
The Londoners registered an interest in the former Aston Villa man earlier in the transfer window and then made a formal move for the player last week.
Downing is set to become the third player to be offloaded by the Merseysiders to Upton Park this year, following in the footsteps of Andy Carroll and Joe Cole.
He has been deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield by manager Brendan Rodgers as Liverpool continue to pay the price for their signings in 2011.
Liverpool have already bought forwards Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto from Spain this summer and are still understood to be in the market for attacking talent as huge doubt remains over the future of prize asset Luis Suarez.
Downing was captured from Aston Villa in the summer of 2011 in a deal worth up to €23m but he has failed to establish himself on Merseyside.
