The pair performed handstands in front of a number of local youngsters in Rio de Janeiro, as well as team-mates Adam Lallana, Jack Wilshere and Fraser Forster
With England’s opening Group D clash against Italy just days away, Roy Hodgson’s squad have been engrossing themselves in Brazilian culture.
Daniel Sturridge and Danny Welbeck were among five of the Three Lions’ players to visit local youngsters at Complexo Esportivo da Rochina in Rio de Janeiro, and the strike duo were keen to get involved.
Invited to learn the martial art of capoeira – which combines acrobatics, dance and music – the pair soon became embroiled in a dance-off involving handstands and a number of complicated moves.
The pair certainly seemed to impress the watching youngsters as well as team-mates Adam Lallana, Fraser Forster and Jack Wilshere, who were more reluctant to get involved.
Liverpool’s Sturridge is no stranger to dance, with his ‘wobbly arms’ celebration one of the most recognisable in the Premier League.
