Liverpool finished fourth and secured a spot in the playoff rounds of the Champions League after beating relegated Middlesbrough 3-0 on the final day of the season.

The Reds pipped Arsenal, who beat Everton 3-1 despite losing Koscielny to a red early in the game, to fourth spot. The Gunners finished fifth while the trio of Chelsea, Spurs and Man City finished first, second and third respectively
