Liverpool Women stunned Chelsea Women 2-1 in the opening round of the WSL season, and here are the LFC ladies player ratings for the game from the Echo. It was a rare defeat for Emma Hayes’ Chelsea (also the league’s defending champions), and there was a record crowd at Prenton Park present to witness the game.

All three goals in the came were from penalties- Fran Kirby scored in the 3rd minute to put Chelsea ahead, but two second half penalties from Katie Stengel allowed LFC Women to run out 2-1 winners. She also tops the player ratings here with a 9/10.
