Steven Gerrard has made his 600th appearance for Liverpool as the Reds take on Newcastle at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The 32-year-old becomes the 10th player to reach such a milestone for the Anfield outfit, having made his debut for the club in the November 1998 home victory over Blackburn.
Gerrard has won both the Champions League and Uefa Cup during his time at the club, and has tasted domestic success with two FA Cup wins and three League Cups, the most recent of which came last season.
Wayne Rooney was amongst those to congratulate the Liverpool skipper on the historic appearance, with the Manchester United striker tweeting: “Congrats to stevie g on 600 games. Great achievement whatever team u support.”
