Swansea manager Michael Laudrup has several injury problems to mull over before the visit of Liverpool on Sunday.
Neil Taylor (ankle) is out for the rest of the season, but more recent problems include first-choice goalkeeper Michel Vorm (groin) and Ki Sung-Yong (hamstring).
Leroy Lita and Kyle Bartley (both thigh) will also be missing while Chico (leg), who was withdrawn during the Capital One Cup victory over Liverpool in October, could be fit enough for a place on the bench.
However, Rodgers will be pleased that his own selection issues seem to be slowly clearing up with just the one fresh injury concern following Andre Wisdom’s (knee) withdrawal against Young Boys on Thursday night.
Elseswhere, Fabio Borini (foot) has not had much luck since joining from Roma in the summer and is not expected to return before the turn of the year, while Martin Kelly (knee) will be missing for even longer with a March 2013 comeback mooted.
Lucas Leiva (thigh) has played just twice in the Premier League this season and, although he is expected to be back in action before December, the trip to Swansea appears to have come too soon for him.
