Luis Suarez’s fantastic form this season continued into the international break, with the Uruguayan becoming the latest winner of our Goal of the Week.
Although attention has focused on the Liverpool striker’s punch on Gonzalo Jara in a 2-0 defeat to Chile, he scored a vital goal to earn a 1-1 draw against Paraguay last weekend, a strike which received 59.46 per cent of this week’s vote.
Tottenham midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson must settle for second place with his goal for Iceland earning 23.18%, while Tomer Hemed scrapes into third after he scored in Israel’s 3-3 draw with Portugal.
