A 48-hour walk-out in the capital’s transport system looked to affect people reaching Craven Cottage, but the service will now run as normal after an agreement was reached

Fulham’s Premier League match against Liverpool will go ahead following news that the proposed London Underground strike has been suspended.

Workers affiliated to the RMT and TSSA unions had planned a 48-hour walk-out for 22:00 CET on Tuesday, throwing some midweek games in the capital into doubt.

Fulham then revealed that Wednesday’s fixture against the Merseyside club could be called off amid doubts over the ability of their safety staff to get to Craven Cottage, with a further announcement set to be made on Tuesday.

However, before the club had a chance to make that announcement, the unions reached an agreement with London Underground, meaning all Tube services will run as normal.

Arsenal’s match against Manchester United would also have been affected, though the Emirates Stadium outfit never indicated any plans to postpone that game.

Basement club Fulham will be hoping to get their own campaign back on track with three points against Liverpool.
