Liverpool were knocked out of Europe by Turkish side Besiktas after losing on penalties in Istanbul. Besiktas won’t remember their last trip to Anfield too fondly, and it’s not without reason. Liverpool crushed them 8-0 that day, with Yossi Benayoun and Ryan Babel (remember him!) producing five goals between them. Steven Gerrard and Peter Crouch also scored for the Reds.
